Our philosophy in 14 words
The 14 words on this sticky note contain the philosophy that has led to $201M of growth for our clients. It reads:
"How should things be? → Open more loans + accts → Post-launch experiments → Proven patterns".
Translation: The primary job of an FI website is to open more loans and accounts. The only way to learn what causes conversions is to run experiments after launch (A/B testing). From those tests, we learn "proven patterns"—what actually works.
From running over 100 A/B tests, we know this method turns a website into a tool for growth.
From BloomCU to MetriFi: The pursuit of truth
We started as BloomCU, a creative agency designing award-winning websites for credit unions nationwide.
We loved it. The work looked great and we won lots of awards.
But we eventually faced an uncomfortable question: Are the sites we’re designing actually converting?
When we couldn’t answer that question, we knew it was time for a change. So we turned to conversion tracking and A/B testing. We stopped guessing and started measuring.
That transformation led us to become MetriFi. It’s more than a name change. It’s a belief that growth comes when you seek the truth, focus on what matters, put ideas to the test, and measure results.
The results? Over $201M in new loans and deposits for our clients, and growing.
What we believe
Our philosophy is simple: Great websites aren’t built on guesswork—they’re built on proof. These three beliefs guide everything we do at MetriFi.
Evidence > Opinions
Everyone has ideas about what makes a website good, but not all ideas are good ones. We believe in a higher standard where ideas are tested and evidence is greater than opinions.
Art + science
Awards are nice, but growth is better. We believe your site should look amazing, but if it doesn’t convert it's just expensive art. Design should always drive measurable results.
Progress through testing
The best websites aren’t born perfect, they evolve. Continuous A/B testing uncovers what really works so you can keep improving, not just redesign every few years and hope for the best.

We speak plainly, own our mistakes, and expect the same in return. Trust only works when everyone is honest.

We choose optimism. That doesn’t mean ignoring problems—it means approaching them with positivity and kindness.
4. No jerks allowed
Respect is a requirement. We treat people well, communicate kindly, and leave egos at the door. If you can't do that, we're not a match.
